For those in the know, Terry’s Kitchen is a ray of tropical sun in the Newport Hills neighborhood, serving home-cooked favorites in a spot that feels just like your favorite Hawaiian café plating up ono kine grindz for the locals. While classic diner fare — such as grilled steak and seafood dishes — can be found on Terry’s menu, the eatery also features items like T’s Chinatown Garlic Spareribs or a somen noodle bowl with all the fixins — chicken, fresh veggies, egg, kamaboko (fish cake), and scallions.
Don’t forget a side of crispy fried lumpia, or T’s Kitchen Sink-style fried rice with a little bit of everything mixed in. And of course, Terry’s serves up Loco Moco, with its Angus Beef T’s Patty over rice with gravy and fried eggs, as well as a Chili Moco, with the fried eggs over house-made chili and rice. And save room for the haupia coconut cake.
