There’s no shortage of new and ongoing projects in communities throughout the 425 area code ranging from historic renovations to state-of-the-art entertainment venues. Here are a few notable projects to keep an eye out for.

Mountlake Terrace

Link Light Rail

The Mountlake Terrace stop of the Link Light Rail is under construction, with a completion date set for 2024. The rail will provide Snohomish County with convenient access to Seattle, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, and the University of Washington.

City Hall and Council Chambers

The newly constructed 18,600-square-foot City Hall building, located at the Civic Campus, includes chambers for the City Council, along with offices, meeting space, and a public lobby.

Bel-Red Corridor Complex

Vulcan Real Estate recently purchased a 1.4-acre development site in Bellevue for $17.9 million. The development site will include a 249-unit high-rise multifamily housing complex. Vulcan estimates 2023 completion.

Historic Feed Store

The Historic Feed Store, home of the Downtown Issaquah Association, is being updated. The renovation, projected to be completed at the end of the year, will feature a new roof, air-conditioning, hot water upgrades, and new paint.

The Topgolf Renton-Seattle project broke ground in August and will feature 102 outdoor hitting bays, along with a restaurant, bar, and event space. The sports-entertainment venue is expected to open next year.

Sunset Terrace Apartments

The mixed-use, mixed-income commercial and residential complex in the Highlands area, featuring 108 units and 4,226 square feet of commercial space, is slated for completion later this year.

The University of Washington Bothell

The campus is set to debut a new academic building in fall 2023. The building will house UW Bothell and Cascadia College students taking science, technology, engineering, and math classes.
