“Rock the Harvest” is a 12-hour radiothon and auction event hosted by Seattle-based rock station KZOK. It raises funds for Northwest Harvest, a nonprofit that helps Washingtonians experiencing food insecurity.
Northwest Harvest estimates that around 2.2 million Washingtonians may experience food insecurity by the end of 2020, and hope that the funds will provide families with some relief.
“We’re proud to support the mission of Northwest Harvest,” said Don Burton, president of Evergreen Home Loans, in the release. “Starting with the Evergreen Cares Foundation, and now in partnership with the KZOK ‘Rock the Harvest’ radiothon, we’re committed to making a difference for those in need throughout all the communities we serve.”
Tune into KZOK Oct. 1 to support Northwest Harvest’s mission. The “Rock the Harvest” radiothon and auction starts at 7 a.m. and continues for 12 hours.
