Wellness is a priority for many people right now in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. At a time where gyms may remain inaccessible, Edifecs, a tech innovator company based in Bellevue, has taken many steps to improve their employees’ work-from-home environment.

Edifecs has expressed their core value for employee health and wellness for over 20 years with the help of their 23,000-square-foot Wellbeing Center.  However, the Wellbeing Center has been unoccupied in the last month due to this COVID-19 pandemic. Ritesh Daryani, Edifecs VP of People and Culture, recognized an increased need to integrate health and wellness into their work from home culture. Edifecs quickly organized a Virtual Wellbeing Center via their daily newsletter full of wellness-related activities for their employees as they transitioned to work-from-home life.

The Virtual Wellbeing Center holds four to five online fitness classes including dance cardio and full body conditioning. These virtual classes are meant for employees to enjoy with their family members at any time of the day. They also include two to three daily relaxation and meditation virtual classes including advanced yoga and mantra healing and tips for peaceful conflict resolution.

“Wellbeing is a state of health and contentment which allows individuals, communities and the planet to thrive. This requires lifestyle choices which are balanced, meaningful and life-affirming – so that one’s life becomes a journey of wellbeing,” Gurpreet (Sunny) Singh, Edifecs CEO, said on the Edifecs Wellbeing website.

The Wellbeing Center launched a 100 Mile Challenge where associates will walk the 100 miles from Bellevue to Canada.  This challenge also incentivizes associates to keep moving during this continued social distancing period with a chance to win gift card prizes.

Edifecs continues their mission to enhance the wellbeing of their team, improve the healthcare system, better serve clients, and to spread the message to take care of one another.
